At Crunchyroll, I routinely designed a slate of desktop and mobile banners for the Crunchyroll News site to embed in their articles every time a new season launched, bringing viewership and attention to current titles from feature stories. I designed between 10 and 20 banners a season quarterly for several years, collaborating with art directors and brand managers to iterate on the designs and receive licensor approval.
The mobile banners were less forgiving size-wise, so I usually forwent the “streaming now” lockups and minimized the number of characters portrayed to avoid crowding. Any banners with square CTA buttons were created prior to the 2024 Crunchyroll brand evolution.
