Photography
One of my primary focuses at university was photography, and I still have a soft spot in my heart for film and alternative processes. As a result, I’ve historically done cosplay, event, and fashion photoshoots for friends and acquaintances, and I’ve assisted with photography at most full-time jobs I’ve had.
I currently volunteer as a photographer with Berkeley Humane, taking pictures of animals to help them get adopted as well as adoption events for PR/volunteer communications. Please note that some of the pets pictured are no longer up for adoption and have gone to their forever homes, but you can see all adoptable pets on their website.
At Crunchyroll, I worked as an event photographer on an as-needed basis at the Anime Awards and Crunchyroll Expo, as well as capturing product photos for the Crunchyroll Store’s social accounts and occasionally taking photos for posting on social media.
At Genentech, I took campus photos to populate a GPS app (a Google Maps-style app for full-time employees), worked as an event photographer, took headshots for employees, etc., and retouched and incorporated the photos I took into communications campaigns, such as staff newsletters. Unfortunately most of the pictures I took are not approved for external use.
