I designed this YouTube thumbnail using licensor-provided materials of the storyboards from top title Food Wars, showing how the base skeleton for the art turns into the beautiful, fully colored final result. This thumbnail was sent to TBS for licensor approval prior to use.
This documentary was part of an initiative on the Audience Development team to produce documentaries about various anime on our platform, so that viewers could see how their favorite shows were created. Our production team was invited to several studios to interview animators, directors, and studio reps and take footage of the creation process. They shared many materials like rough sketches, concept art, and storyboards with us.
