Crunchyroll YouTube Thumbnail Templates – Brand Evolution

I designed a few different YouTube thumbnails for Crunchyroll’s main channel during my time at the company, but in the summer of 2024, I designed a whole slate of templates for use by the social team that were aligned with the updated brand evolution. I worked with both the social media team and our creative director to get them properly polished and ready to use. These YouTube thumbnails were included in that package.
I created one- and two-line text layers that allowed flexibility with captions, as well as stock phrases like “First Episode” and “Trailer,” and an alternate black icon to be used on backgrounds that the orange was not visible against. They also have “SUB,” “DUB,” and “SUB | DUB” flags that can be turned on and off.
