I collaborated with the multimedia team and the creative team to create thumbnails both for YouTube and for promotion on social media. I produced thumbnails on a weekly basis, but the template equipped the design team to step in easily if I was out of office. The episodes were filmed mid-week, so there was usually only a 24-hour window to produce thumbnails, and having a base that could be implemented quickly and expediently was a top priority. I would usually receive stills on Thursday and produce a thumbnail and submit for approval to launch on Friday morning.
I produced four different colorways to keep things fresh each week, and would trace our guests and presenters with the pen tool in Photoshop, moving the drawn elements and text strips to better frame their images, always keeping the logo legible in the top corner.
